COPPER

Copper is a reddish transition metal, which has high electrical and thermal conductivity.  The electrical conductivity of copper deserves special mention because it was adopted by the International Electrotechnical Commission in 1913 as the basis of the IACS standard. Copper is mainly used in electrical transmission and telephony.
