Copper
O cobre é um metal de transição avermelhado, que apresenta alta condutibilidade elétrica e térmica. A condutividade elétrica do cobre merece especial menção por ter sido adotada pela Comissão Eletrotécnica Internacional em 1913 como base da norma IACS. Emprega-se cobre principalmente na transmissão elétrica e na telefonia.
